8/4/2022-Syam Lafis two out full count bottom of the ninth two run home run gave Garden City a 5-4 win over the Roswell Invaders on Thursday Night. On a night where Garden City set their all time attendence record Lafi waited til the very last out to pull magic. In doing so he also set the Garden City pass the hat record.

For the Invaders Matt Rodriguez continued his hot bat hitting his third homer in two days. Anthony Moore had a great outing going 6 innings allowing just two runs. Seth Burris threw a scoreless inning.

Jordan Izzo gave the Wind a quality start going seven innings allowing just three runs. Sage Holderfield threw a scoreless inning. Jackson Rutledge pitched the ninth allowing one run but picked up the win.

The two teams meet Friday Night at Clint Lightner in Garden City to determine the winner of the series.
