The Great Bend Boom make the most of 8 hits in 6-4 victory over the Garden City Wind

Both the Great Bend Boom (14-22) and the Garden City Wind (20-17) put runners aboard on Wednesday, but it was the Great Bend Boom that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 6-4 win at Al Burns Field.

Clay Ardeeser led the Garden City Winds offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the first and third innings.

Matt Marino improved to 2-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Great Bend Boom. He allowed two runs over six innings. Marino struck out two, walked three and gave up six hits.

Craig Jaquez ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked six, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
