The bats were busy at Al Burns Field on Saturday, and when the dust cleared the Garden City Wind (26-21) had a 13-9 win over the Great Bend Boom (17-28).

The teams totaled 26 hits in the game.

Clay Ardeeser racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Garden City Wind. He singled in the third inning and homered in the eighth inning.

Clayton Truex racked up four RBIs on one hit for the Great Bend Boom. He doubled in the third inning.

Cameron Powers improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Garden City Wind. He allowed two runs over five innings. Powers struck out three, walked two and gave up five hits.

Lawrence Chavez (0-1) took the loss for the Great Bend Boom. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
